In 1975, Robert Carrée (a brilliant engineer at Buffet Crampon) developed a new bore with clarinettist Jacques Lancelot, whose main sound characteristics are roundness and precision. This new family bears the initials RC of its inventor.
Its ease of issue and great flexibility are suitable for all the instrument’s repertoires and have found countless enthusiasts throughout Europe. It remains a reference.
In 2014, anxious to maintain the model to the growing demands of musicians, Buffet Crampon redesigned the instrument and now offers us a clarinet with 2 barrels (65 and 66 mm), a bell with internal pear and a new intonation.
The RC models establishes the widest bore family of Buffet Crampon.
