The Buffet Crampon Clarinets E13 and E12F are excellent quality clarinets made in France
These clarinets are made of ebony, with a silver key and come in a backpack case with all the maintenance accessories.
During the very first years of learning, no one will learn the clarinet better than on an E13 or E12F.
However, it is certain that after a few years of practice, an E13 will better meet the requirements that music imposes on us. Whether in terms of phrasing, nuance, timbre, emission or power, the E13 clarinet remains much more precise and versatile than its E12F colleague.
She remains THE clarinet of the good informed amateur.
However, if your scholarship does not allow you to do so, an E12F clarinet will perfectly fulfil its role as a learning instrument.
The choice between the E13 or E12F clarinet model, for purchase or rental, depends essentially on the long-term vision that everyone can have of learning the instrument.
C clarinets are traditionally reserved for children whose hands are too small to use the mechanics as a whole. The teacher can check during the first clarinet lesson if it is preferable for the child to start on this instrument.
The only requirement to start the clarinet is to have the two definitive central upper incisors, since they must rest on the mouthpiece.
